Oh boy. Normally, I would avoid this one like the plague -- a novel based on a real-life incident (who was that woman who married the doctor and was an ultimate soccer mom, suddenly shuffled into the spotlight and off to jail? can't remember the details but it was pretty recent!)

You are reading some tantalizing fictions lately! Been pondering legacies and what we leave behind once deceased A LOT lately, this title sounds wonderfully different from anything I have read, ever. Also, checked some other reviews on "She Was" and they were all awful. This is good because I generally don't like fiction, therefore most fiction reviewers are WRONG for me. You have gotten me again!

Laundress dearest,
When I first started it, I thought, hoo boy, Oprah book, and was ready to chuck it. But once past the first twenty pages or so I was completely lost to it.

It's hilarious that I "review" books, because I tend not to pay any attention to book reviews when looking for stuff to read. I read them for title awareness, but I hardly ever read them for the actual "review." The reviews at Amazon are my favorite, ha, always rewarding hack books with five stars and thoughtful, interesting, off the beaten path books with maybe three.

Can't wait to hear what you think of this one if you read it.
