nice review, cr. i'm glad i put a hold on it. The wait list was 20 people!

I'll be very, very interested to hear what you think of this one. How many copies are the twenty people waiting on? In my system 52 people are waiting on 15 copies, so there's definitely interest in it.

There are four copies in our 20 half rural/half suburban library system. Do public libraries have a formula for how many copies to have of new books?

I read Bringing Down the House awhile ago without knowing about the alleged fabrications. I found out about that while I was looking for links for my review, and honestly felt a little betrayed because I don't remember that book being up front about what might be true and not true.

I haven't read this book yer, but I have to admit it makes me feel a little better to know there's something more upfront about what might or might not be true. At least then you go in reading with more of a sense of story than accurate nonfiction. All narrative nonfiction takes some liberties, but it's nice to know when an author is taking more liberties than expected. I'll have my eyes open for this book, if only because I know Mezrich tells a good story.
