Who could avoid articles on 9/11 last week? No one, that's who.
I only read one that made any sense to me, and that was Steve Almond's* The Decade of Magical Thinking, at the Rumpus. Do consider reading it.
*Actually, I really like a lot of stuff Steve Almond writes.

You're welcome. I was glad to see he didn't get more beaten up in the comments.
A friend of mine also sent me a link to an article by Chris Hedges on the subject. Also good, but not as good as the Almond piece, to my mind:
