I have not. But I would like to read such a book.

Oh wait. Shane Claiborne's The Irresistable Revolution talks briefly about how he joined some sort of huge group of people who all agreed to pitch in in case of a medical emergency, which was great when he needed $10,000 surgery but has not answered my question about how a person with a chronic illness who needs $300 worth of drugs would manage. (I read this some years ago, so I'm fuzzy on the details -- but at least it wasn't all wholesome food and a positive attitude.)
